Terry, Dave's Targa Animator here is an inexpensive way to go from Targa files to a FLI animation format. I'm not sure, though, if there's a FLI>AVI converter.

For 2D animation, my company uses Autodesk Animator Pro, it's good at 640x480x256. if you need somthing in 320x200x256 Autodesk has a product call Multimedia Explorer it doesn't cost as much as the Pro version.

I need some help finding good 2D animation software. Does anyone have any suggestions. Most all of the software is geared around 3D. I do not want to create 3D models of these characters. Thanks
