#27604 Help please Message #27610
From: James Green Amiga Arts Forum · General Help March 14, 1993 5:40 PM
Either Rend24 or ViewTek viewers will work (among many others) to view the images in lib 17. These programs are found in the Amiga Arts Forum (this one) under Graphic Utilities. Actually, these programs are much more than just a viewer program, but they will meet your needs. ..By the…

I stand corrected…Thanks for the info.
#27477 Dpaint IFF24 !?! Message #27488
From: James Green Amiga Arts Forum · Audiophile March 11, 1993 9:45 AM
Someone bite my head off if I'm wrong here, but I believe that even though the new DPAINT takes advantage of the AGA chip set it still can't handle more than HAM (HAM8?) pictures. IFF24 pictures still make DPAINT choke… Alan Henry c/o Presidio Software

From: James Green Amiga User Forum · Amiga Hardware March 11, 1993 9:38 AM
OK, now that you have checked the obvious (which is always the best route) we know that your system only recognizes 512k, so you aren't eating it up any where. I'm assuming then that you have a rev. 4.4, or something similar, mother board. There are 2 jumpers that need…
#27418 Help: Video out Message #27421
From: James Green Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile March 9, 1993 3:33 PM
I think what you are looking for is called VIP it is basically what you mentioned (converts RGB to composite and if I'm not mistaken, S-VHS). I just tried digging around in my AmigaWorld, but couldn't find any listings for one, however, I pretty sure I saw someone advertising one…
#91434 TERM guru Message #91435
From: James Green Amiga User Forum · Communications March 8, 1993 7:24 AM
OK, disregard the last message…I just made a few more SETTINGs changes (although they may have had nothing to do with the fixes) and QUICKB is now up and running as advertised. WOW, 230 chars/sec vers. 204 chars/sec.. .I don't do much better than that with Z-Modem. How is QB's…
#91426 #TERM guru Message #91434
From: James Green Amiga User Forum · Communications March 8, 1993 6:52 AM
Thanks for the responses…I've fixed the problem, although I'm not exactly sure why it fixed it. I changed to HIGH-SPEED mode and STRIP BIT 8 in the SERIAL SETTINGS menu. Everything now runs flawlessly. As far as DL/UL speeds, I achieve 204 chars/sec. What does QuickB get? I've tried both…

Have any of you TERM 3.1 users experienced a lock up trying to DL with Y-Modem? I've been using 2.4a for quite a while with no problems, however, since I've upgraded to ver 3.1 I can't do squat on CompuServe with out locking up on DL's. I noticed that the…
#52451 Object Creation? Message #52457
From: James Green Amiga Vendor Forum · Impulse March 7, 1993 8:52 AM
George, I personnally wouldn't approach the "wiggle" by using spline paths (Not that my method is necessarily the best), but, as described before, I would create a base object extruded with sections approx. equal to 5 times the number of bends you expect to create (ie. if your object is…
Mailing List? Message #52386
From: James Green Amiga Vendor Forum · Impulse March 5, 1993 12:32 PM
Could you please check to make sure I am on your mailing list. I checked a few months ago, and thought that I cleared up a mailing address problem, however, I have yet to receive any of your News Letters. You should have my NJ address. BTW please inform Mike…
SuperGen For Sale Message #91134
From: James Green Amiga User Forum · Classified March 5, 1993 12:13 PM
For Sale…SuperGen external GenLock w/BNC to RCA adapters (if needed). This is the non-SVHS model, however, the output is fantastic. Still considered to be the industry standard. I need to get the OpalVision Genlock or alter the Opalvision board to use the SuperGen. I've opted for the less technical approach.…

#Object Creation? Message #52070
From: James Green Amiga Vendor Forum · Impulse February 27, 1993 3:40 PM
George, It's been my experience that whenever an object has a break in its surface or is made up of more than one object, it is very hard to achieve a smooth look. Unless the object is seen from a distance, the only way to hide the segmented appearance is…
Trace Problems Message #52027
From: James Green Amiga Vendor Forum · Impulse February 26, 1993 9:33 AM
Mark, Your problem, most likely, isn't RAM, but rather Global World Size. In Scanline mode, Imagine will render everthing in the scene, however, in Tra mode, the World size is taken into account. You have a few options to fix your problem: 1. resize your entire scene (smaller obviously) 2.…
Corvettes Stripped Message #25305
From: James Green Amiga Arts Forum · Animation January 6, 1993 2:33 PM
Eric… Let me know what model years you need and the models exact destiny. If you are not planning on selling them or distributing them under any label, my costs go down quite a bit. If you need one of the model years to fall in the mid 50's to…

Corvette Objects Message #25276
From: James Green Amiga Arts Forum · Animation January 5, 1993 11:54 AM
Eric… I'm just checking back with you on your search for Corvette objects. Last week I uploaded a few JPEG files of my 1958 model. Let me know if you received them and if they are what you were looking for. Thanks, Alan Henry c/o Presidio Software 75300,2404
#Call for Corvettes! Message #25098
From: James Green Amiga Arts Forum · Animation December 30, 1992 8:10 PM
ERIK…. Sorry, I don't think I left my name. I left the message about making Corvette models by hand in Imagine 2.0 format (however they can be converted). Anyway, drop me a line here if interested. Alan Henry 75300,2404
From: James Green Amiga Arts Forum · Animation December 30, 1992 8:06 PM
Erik…. I am currently making objects (IMAGINE format) for Presidio Software. One of which is a '58 Corvette. The object is completely hand modeled with moving parts. Obviously, I can't distribute that particular model, however, converting it to a later or earlier model is a simple change. As far as…

I'm looking to buy a new assembler? Any recommendations? Does anybody know about what is happening with DevPac, will the author try to release a new version? Was there an author or was it Michtron? I'm running an A3000 with 8 megs. Thanx -James -via My own fingers
