Dave, Good look with your letter writing. You might want to add Lorimar to your list. I'm not sure who's in charge these days. You might try either Lee Rich or Merv Adelson at: Lorimar Telepictures 10202 W. Washington Boulevard Culver City CA 90230 Lee

Ben, How are you receiving STAR TREK transmissions with your TV off? Does your communicator do pictures? :') Lee

Dave, You can try a letter writing campaign, but remember CAGNEY AND LACEY was not getting bad ratings the summer it was finally renewed. The episode that pushed them over the edge into renewal received a 35 share, not shabby by any standards, particularly for a repeat. That particular episode…

Dave, I hope STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION succeeds. But I'd like to correct a mis-perception in your message. You make it sound as if the way ratings affect a program is different for syndicated product than it is for network shows. Simply not true. A show's health in syndication…

Michael, I meant that it was the demographics of the new rating system that are skewed more toward "younger and hipper" viewers. Theoretically that should have helped MAX since its audience was young, urban, supposedly hip. While DALLAS' audience is older rural, supposedly more conservative. Being older and rural myself…

GreG, Not until people stop watching dribble. Or was that a rhetorical question? Lee

Stephen, 1) I bought the first A500 my dealer sold, and was first on this board with one (middle of June). Have had zero problems. The choice between a 500 and a 2000 should depend on what you want to do with it, not quality control. 2) I've added the…

Larry, Wow, the very first? I'm humbled by the responsibility! I was also the first one into the store when they called the people on the waiting list to tell them the 500's were in. But while I was there, Number Two arrived. And as I was leaving Number Three…
