Anyone who states that they have a chip that runs 10X faster than the Pentium has a credibility problem. The 200MHz Alpha is 1.65 times faster than the Pentium running SPECint 92 and 3.52 times faster running SPECfp92.

You're reading the wrong issue. The Video Toaster received BYTE's Award of Excellence in the January 1991 issue. Remember, the Toaster was released in late 1990. It was reviewed in BYTE in Mfarch of '91
