Thomas I don't think you can use the interface on the Sound Blaster with the Mitsumi. The Sound Blaster has 19 active lines and 21 ground lines while the Mitsumi has 16 active lines, 20 ground lines, and 4 that have no connection. Don

Charlie I was talking about connecting the cdrom itself to the SBPro to eliminate the Mitsumi interface. The Mitsumi audio connector will plug directly into the SBPro board however the wires on the audio connector should be reversed for each audio channel.

Charles Offhand I don't think it can be done. I just received a Sound Galaxy NX 16 Pro and their manual shows the CDROM connector diagram for both drives. The Mitsumi has 16 active lines and 20 ground lines and 4 no connection while the Panasonic has 19 active lines…
