#include solved the printf problem. It should have been there and I inadvertantly left it out. The eronious variable values were caused by the scanf line of code. I had: scanf ("%d/%d/%d", &today.month, &today.day, &today.year); It should have been: scanf ("%d%d%d", &today.month, &today.day, &today.year); Thanks for your help… – Evan
