You don't even have to use the CONVERT utility, the Text In/Out key (Ctrl-F5) has a WP4.2 save as option. Save the file as 4.2 and import it directly into Ventura.

You got an upgrade package, not a new package. If they didn't make any changes to the Tutorials & Techniques manual, you wouldn't have gotten a new one. My guess is they didn't make any changes.
