Ken, Man! Are you having problems or what! Please call Jim Nelson or Tim Martin at INOVAtronics and we'll figure out what has happened. I know that they can help you out. Tech support number is 214-340-4992, or EMail me. -Martin
John, Thanks. I will forward all of these notes to the interface-design people. I know that they'll be interested. Based on what you've described, I think that similar concepts are in the works. -Martin
John, That's OK, I've been real busy also. It looks like several CanDo Decks have been posted here on CIS in this forum and in AmigaArts. It's spreading… Some easier methods of movement from script to script are being discussed. Nothing concrete yet, but I'll post any info I can…
The primary engine for CanDo is implemented in assembly language. We think, however, that the scripting language of CanDo could be expanded into a general purpose object-oriented programming language. Interested? -Martin

CanDo Questions
Message #86671
Brian, The answer is no. CanDo does not have floating point math capabilities yet, so no math coprocessor would be helpful to it. -Martin

Steve, Ahhh. Try some timing outside of CanDo. Just the Deck by itself. It will be substantially faster, I think. Arrays are also on the drawing board. Just don't know when they'll be in. -Martin
Mike, I never said that UltraCard "MONITOR MOUSE MESSAGES". It's just that I grabbed one of the Windows off of the UltraCard 1.0 browser demo with PowerWindows and couldn't find any gadgets on it. The Menus were there, but no Gadgets. Now this was on the rolodex screen, I think,…
Mike, OK. I can understand that. I just don;t like being told it's on the way when it's not. Looking forward to it. -Martin
Brendan, This is all anyone CAN say about UltraCard because no one that I know of has a copy of it! I got the browser but he has uploaded 3 versions of that and asked for all of them to be deleted in favor of a 4th version that has…

Message #19691
Shoot me your address again in case the office didn't get the info to you yet! I'll make sure you get it fast. "Conditional" ARexx Objects is almost right. Imagine being able to easily tell your program "Wait for string X to come into this ARexx port and then do…

Message #19665
I am glad you are the patient/impatient type! I myself can't wait to get this software out! May I can get somebody to give me some screen shots or pictures that I could upload if there is any interest in that?… There is definitely an ARexx hook in CanDo. For…
I think the OTG disassembler is about the best one around right now, David. I'd recommend it. -Martin
Larry, What is crippled about CAPE's command line from CLI handling? -Martin Murray
Jeffrey, What release of PowerWindows 2.5 are you using? The latest release is 2.5B and you can get it free-of-charge by returning your original disk to Inovatronics, Inc., at the address listed on the package. I tried to duplicate the problem you were talking about with PW 2.5B and was…

Thomas, If you send back your CAPE disk for an update, you will not only get the latest version of the assembler, but also get the C= distribution "include" files as well. -Martin Murray
There is an ActivateWindow(window) function. Try that. -Martin Murray
Would you believe we are doing something right now with Resource libraries and other ways to make interfaces and their design more friendly? Well, we are and I agree with you 100%.

I seem to have some line noise in here. Sorry about the state of the messag{. Personally, I think the easies method is to do RectFill for the gadget area and then do a RefreshList for the gadget. Its easy and its fun. -Martin Murray

Try opening a BACKDROP|BORDERLESS|SIMPLE_REFRESH|NOCAREREFRESH window and use its port. It will look as though no window is there. -Martin Murray
