I wondered about that also, or the Kodak photo-CD standard. But I can't really take any vaporware support seriously until there is a new product on the shelves. There is a larg installed base of IOS9660 drives now, that cannot be ignored.

I think the best deal going is the SoundBlaster Pro/MPC upgrade kit. For around $550 (from Computablility) you get a killer sound card AND a FAST CD-ROM drive AND a 5 CD bundle. Mine works just fine.
Matt, I have the SBPro CD-ROM, got it from COmputability for $360. I think it's great, and the bundled CD package is a good deal. The installation went pretty smooth, and MAN does it sound GREAT!
