I'm running DOS 5.0, but have access to MSCDEX v2.22. Will v2.22 run with DOS 5.0. And does this version load into highmem any easier than v 2.21?? Thanks Phil Haase 🙂

Jack, padron my ignorance, but how does hooking a Multispin to a sound card negate the speed advantage of the CDROM? Phil 🙂

Adrian, yes I agree. But many of DAK's deals are closeout specials in the US only. I heard that at one time, they were offering some kind of gardet that was available worldwide but didn't sell too well in the US, so they got a deal to sell it cheap…

Hilary, PMBI, and I'm coming in late on this message, but I have a SONY CDROM model 531-01 that I bought from DAK and it runs Nautilus CDs just fine. The video runs choppy but I attribute that to the slow CDROM because the drive light never goes off. Everything…

Adrian, don't be to hard on DAK. I'm sure they can't ship to foreign because of arrangments that they make with their suppliers, many of which are foreign themselves. Phil Haase 🙂

Eldon, I have the fast drive and really do like it. It's not the best in the world, but it allows me to run MM ok, at least enough to get the favor of MM. It handles DOS-based, text-based CDs without any problems and now that I connected it to…

Jack, I understand your feelings. But I'm a "wirehead" type of guy and I'm crazy to learn. I'm tired of Windows and DOS and need a new mountain to climb. I never did like "shells" or utilities programs, because it made you dependent on a program and I never considered…
