From: David Welsh Amiga User Forum · Classified October 30, 1995 8:10 AM
I need a repair on a GVP accelerator board (an 030/40Mhz); seems to me I remember that some vendor was set-up to repair GVP accelerator cards. Can anyone help me with their name, address, phone number, geographic location, whatever??? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks. David.

Gary, may need that mother board. My 2000 is on the blink. Will let you know. May also need a power supply, for that matter. David.

May need the '030 40Mhz if mine is bad. It's currently in the shop being evaluated. Any info on the history of this board? Any problems with it? Has it been used much. Any info appreciated. Thanks, and will let you know results of the service work. David.

How 'bout $700 bucks US; so will that board work off of our power supplies here in the US? Guess it would have to, and that the power conversion all takes place in the power supply. Second question: how would we handle shipping and payment. Let me know your thoughts.…

I'm afraid my dear 'ole A2000 is on the blink and it seems to be the accelerator card. Either that or the motherboard, but the accel. seems to be the place to begin. So, does anyone have for sale a GVP 030/40Mhz or 50 Mhz card, or a GVP 040…

I just saw a demo of the Media 100 last Friday. Am very interested in the DPS Perception with RazorPro sofrware to replace Amiga 2000 as an animation workstation. Has anyone seen the RazorPro software? I've had a glimpse of DPS Perception, and liked it very much. David

Fascinating thread, folks. While I know that many of you Flyer-owners are anxious and suffering, I appreciate that you are taking the time to share your woes, thoughts, laments, etc. on CIS. I, who own an A2000 Toaster and am very interested in the future of Newtek, have learned a…

Yes, I do have a GVP 030/40Mhz combo in a 2000 that is controlling my drives. I am just starting to play with it, so will check about interference with my mouse pointer when hd being accessed. BTW, what does PMFJI mean? –David Welsh

I'm interested in the 040 board. Could you tell me a few more things about it. When did you buy it? I know there are several speed options on the board; where does the 040/50Mhz fall in terms of speed (I have an 030/40Mhz and am looking at upgrading). Also,…

Hank, you mean that his master is coming off of a hard drive working in conjunction with the Flyer, so that he's going from digital to analog. If this is the case, then sounds like a neat way to get first generation analog dubs to be. –David

Most of the loss in dubbing I believe comes from the recording of the information onto the tape and the getting the information back off of the tape. Running through a device like a flyer won't save this generational loss in analog dubbing. I do agree with the response about…

I own two Panasonic AG-455's, but would a much more mixed review. The good points are that the camera, under the right conditions, can deliver good looking, stable video, and that the VITC does come in handy (although, as you say, it is not resettable). The bad news is mainly…

John, the way you time your system is just the way that I do it, with my S-VHS/Hi-8 to MII system using the Toaster 2000 as a switcher. The thing is, you need a good monitor to do this on, like a SONY with a Trinitron tube that has good…
