Tim, Now my only question is which byte has the sign bit turned on if the last row/column is on? The first, last or all of them. I'll write the program to test the first and see what happens. Thanks. Bill.

Tony, I found MAP.100 earlier, but it did not contain any info on decoding the pixel map that starts at 30481. Tim Peters msg #88138 gives the necessary decoding description. Thanks. Bill.
