I'd say that's either a really cheap price for the internal version of the 3401 or it's probably a price for the 3301, the older version, 325ms 150kb CD-ROM reader.

I didn't mean to put down Panasonic products. I only meant that Panasonic typically puts out products that finds a compromise between quality and price, which means their products are pretty good but, usually not the best available, but the price is usually pretty good too.
