hello Jamie, PMFJI…. I spoke to Eron just yesterday and he said that Razor PRO does not work with Win95. Has that changed since yesterday (9/11/95)? TIA George Omura
Chris, I'm using Personal Netware (Novell) and it works fine with the PAR. Personal Netware is fairly cheap ($60.00) but it's a bit of a pain to set up. Once it IS set up, it works smoothly and is rock solid. George
Michael, I've noticed this same thing while doing field rendering on the PAR. I've done field rendering directly to tape (using a Targa+) and did not have this problem. I'm wondering if it has something to do the D1 resolution (720×480) . With the Targa, I used 512×486. Anyone have…
Thanks for the message, John! George Omura
I can't say anything about the JVC deck, but you might want to consider the AverKey product from ADDA Technologies Inc. In a recent comparison of VGA to NTSC products, AverKey produced one of the best video signals, beating out $1500 scan converters. I don't use it personally, but I've…

hello Jamie, I met you at the now defunct SF 3DS user group. What are you up to now? George O.
Thanks for the advice… keep in touch g.o.
Thanks for the reply, John. I'm wondering if anyone has done an "ACID TEST" comparing the various compression schemes vs non-compressed video. It would be interesting to see the differences side by side.
Thanks for the corrx. on resolution. I'm interested in your comment comparing the PAR to the Abekas output. Do you mean it's actually better? Equal? I was thinking of putting together an Abekas subsystem (Exabyte tape, ASDG software etc.) for high end stuff, but if you're saying what I think…

Hi there, I've read the replies to your question, just to let you know where this message fits in. I recently aquired the DPS Par board and I love it. The quality is very good. Previously, I had rendered to a 3/4 Umatic (Industrial quality video) and the results were…
