#42552- HELP! Message #42587
From: Darrell Grainger (Sysop) Forum unknown · Amiga Connection November 26, 1985 10:36 PM
Sorry for not pointing that out. I will tend to be lacking in characters from time to time due to the fact that my keyboard needs to be cleaned and the keys won't work properly until I do. Maybe someday I'll get around to it. Darrell

From: Darrell Grainger (Sysop) Forum unknown · Amiga Connection November 26, 1985 10:28 PM

David, I work for a developer so I can get access to the ED and EDIT docs on Monday. Is EDIT the line editor and ED the screen editor? If so, I have looked at them in the book and thehe line editor is fairly good. Darrell
#42164 SPORT.BAS Message #42377
I can see no reason why the modem has to know if the terminal programs is truly ready and that is all switch one (1) does. What do you mean by your CP/M machine asserting the pin right after boot up? Darrell
#42141 SPORT.BAS Message #42142
Opps, i do that all the time. My last message should have started with 'You should not' rather than 'You should'. Darrell Grainger Enter command, N for next message or for menu : n
#42114 #SPORT.BAS Message #42141
You should have to do any special poke to get the CIA into asserting pin 20. what you could do instead is flip switch one (1) down on your Hayes modem. The switches can be found behind the plastic cover on the front of the modem. Darrell Grainger *** There…

Larry, If you put a period (.) before each line in your ABasic program then the format would look perfect. What happens is, if you don't put a period at the beginning of the line then it will move that line around to accomodate the different line lengths of people…

I don't own an Amiga but I have played a little and I believe you can use COPY to copy a file from the disk drive to memory by going: COPY filename TO * This will copy the file to the current window and you can then change disks and…

Steve, You are perfectly correct in saying that you can use spaces in a filename so long as you enclose it in quotes when called from the CLI. P.S. message #42000 *** There is a reply: 42033 Enter command, N for next message or for menu : n
