Notwithstanding the competition from KCS and Music-X, I do look forward to
the B&P Pro upgrade. Keep up the great work. I've found that by owning them
all (and MTPro) offers more versatility than any one program provides. If I
can ever afford an A3???, I'll really be expanding my sequencing efforts.
I'm "stuck" with an A1000 now though the 2.5MB of RAM helps alot. BTW,
Spirit Technology's MIDI STAR is the best Amiga MIDI interface available
and I highly recommend it.

I just picked up another synth, a Casio CZ-1000. Cheap. Decent sounds.
But I cannot get it to work with MIDI at all. I have hooked up to the
standard Amiga serial, using an ECE Midi box. Everything seems
straitforward enough, but I get nothing. Do you (or anyone) have any
experience using this? Advice on what to try? Thanks in advance….

Concerning your CZ-1000, without further information, I would suggest that
you make sure the CZ is set to the same MIDI channel as your sequencer.

That is done. I just cannot figure it out, cause it is pretty basic. If
no one says, "I know what it is. Do this <blah blah blah>." I'll suspect
the internal MIDI connections on the CZ or something, cause I know the
cables, etc are ok. Thanks anyway. –jp–

I've not worked with a CZ-1000, but on other Casio synth's I've seen,
there's a switch that must be put into the MIDI position in order for it to
work at all. You might check to see if there's such a switch (or menu
pick, if the CZ-1000 has a menu system). Also, check for MIDI mode.

1. It is self-powered (using an AC adapter); 2. has two independent MIDI
ins; 3. usable with any Amiga (has connectors for the A1000 or
A500/A2x00/A3000); 4. has 6 MIDI outs/thrus (selectable on or off); 5. 4
configurations: 1st MIDI in mapped to all outs/thrus, 2nd MIDI in mapped to
all outs/thrus, 1st MIDI in mapped to to first three outs/thrus and the 2nd
MIDI in mapped to the other three, and the last configuration is the
reverse of that; 5. can be used as an RS-232 pass-thru.
