Does Anyone know about the AdSpeed chip by ICD? I'm looking for an inexpensive way to speed up programs like MathVision, Imagine, etc.. Also, jsut used DCTV at the dealer here today – it seems to offer things that I've been wanting digiview to do. The savings in time is very attractive – a 3 to 8 second grab is pretty good, I think. Anyone else use this box yet? I've been told that they'll have a RGB 24 bit out, or maybe a pass-through? I don't want to start rumors about it, though. Replys appreciated…

Check out the Amiga User Forum. They've had a running message thread for about a week now discussing the AdSpeed accelarator. They even have had someone from ICD (the manufacturer) answering questions. From all I've heard, it is good product that gives you appoximately twice the processing speed in most cases. I'm thinking of investing in one myself. Mark Kelley

I'll check out the forum but it's a little late – I've been busy the last few weeks and unable to log on – I just wnet ahead and ordered Adspeed and the 1 meg Agnus. Peter

Let me know how the Adspeed works. I'm considering it myself once I get a few other hardware purchases made. BTW, do you have a 500 or 2000? Mark

DCTV will NEVER have true 24 bit output, it works with NTSC and to paraphrase a recent article in Amazing computing-NTSC has a 4 million color range on a good day with no wind- and -NTSC can only display 80 colors per line. (Amazing Computing Vol 6 No. 3 March 91 page 60). BEN Leigh's Computer's
