Bill: I followed your instructions. However, after printing out the document with PGS, and returning to CLI to give the – VPU print Pg-out 1 – command, all I get is the same response as when I issue the FindPage command. However, I get no printing on my LazerXpress. I guess I must be getting closer now. Bill Perez San Juan, PR

Bill; Sorry about the delay but I am really "under the gun" just now. Hummmm, something does not seem right. I am pretty sure that you should get a printout even if it is not what you are looking for. If you haven't tried it already, I think that following a print operation from PGS, you might want to try to look at the Vpage using VPC. VPC will show you if anything is present on the page. (Indeed, I think it will also print the page for you). I don't remember if I used LPref to "mess" with the LazerXpress driver or not……I am set up for: Number Of Copies: 1 Page Top Offset: 0 Page Height: 3204 Maximum Font Size: 300 Close VP After Printing: Close (Not highlighted) Output To Printer: Disable (Not highlighted) Virtual Page Name To Use: NEWPAGE I really don't think this has any effect but will give everything a try later if I get a chance. ,bill

Bill: Sorry, but I've been off-line for a few days. I just checked and find I don't have VPC. All I have is VPM and VPU. Maybe this is my problem. My LPrefs are set up as you indicated. Bill Perez San Juan, PR

Bill; Also have been off-line for a few days. I am in Tarytown, N.Y. (a few miles outside of NYC). Have been here for just over a week and will likely be here for another three weeks. I do not have any of my LazerXpress stuff with me. I should think that you would be able to get VPU to do the same sort of things that VPC does for me. I know that in the past I have used VPU. – via Whap!

Bill: Good to hear from you. I still haven't had any luck. But, this has just become a mental challenge. With Pagestream, I can solve most problems, just as you suggested. I've been trying to straighten out my fonts directories so that I can use the JSU created fonts with WordPerfect. I made some progress last night. As I mentioned above, most of these glitches are really mental challenges rather than real problems since I am able to get around most of them using WP in combination with PGS. It's really nice chatting with you. What takes you to the New York area? Bill Perez San Juan, PR
