Does anyone here remember anything about a program that would plot a course from one point on the country to another and give you a listing of roads and directions etc. I think it was written by Matt Dillon and remebered seeing it about 3 or 4 months ago. I searched the file finder but can't locate anything of the sort. Thanks Greg.

Greg, The program was written by Jim Butterfield, and it is called RoadRoute. ROADRT.LZH 13 74K 09-22-91 Update to Jim Butterfield's trip planner, RoadRt See library 13 of AmigaUser. Betty

There is also commercial software called Trip, put out by Sky Shepard Software, located somewhere in Iowa.

Thanks for the info. I remembered it as having been written by someone big, I guessed wrong about who. I tried all the logical keywords in the file finder like ROAD and MAP and TRIP and ATLAS , but I guess none of them are associated.

I hope you like it. I find it to be a most interesting program. The first version I saw was in BASIC, very easy to follow. After that was working well, he re-wrote it in C, and has updated and revised it several times since. People from all over the world add to its usefulness by filling in extra cities from various countries.
