It all started when i wanted to upgrade to 32 megs on my 486/33 I'll skip
to the end. I'm on my third motherboard, 2nd controller and at my wits end.
This last board seemed to work jsut fine except when i wanted to access 3
[ADS studio it keep telling me that there was an error in the 3ds.set file
which was never changed. when i finnaly had to rem that particular command
it would give me an error at a diiferent command line on the 3ds.set file.
So, i reloaded 3ds on to the machine. Now it wont let 3ds boot up. I get
the message Fatal Error 386:vmm: stack pointer in unmapped page also i get
memory allocation error. I have booted on the A drive and i get the same
thing. i use qemm (device=c:\qemm\qemm386.sys x=d0000-dffff ram the targa+
boards is at targap.sys md PLEASE HELP ME. FOR MY CHILDRENS SAKE ROck……

Don't know whether it's a typo, but the memory addresses in the
Xclude for QEMM should only have 4 digits (letters?), such as X=D000-DFFF.
I would expect the error in reading the 3DS.SET file as you indicate to be
due to a loose or improperly installed Math Coprocessor (probaly a Weitek,
right?). Either way, make sure it's well-plugged in, & the BIOS is aware
of it (with a Weitek, you may need to run the 67SETUP utility each time the
machine boots).

The error you're getting re the 3DS.SET file usually means a bad or
unseated Weitek chip. Hopefully that'll do it for you!
