Single frame recorders

Do you know which magazines I should get to find about single frame
recorders? A number of people have reccomended that I get one of
Panasonic AG7750, AG7500 or Sony EVO9700. I would like to investigate
these in some more edetail but I have no idea where to go to read
reviews of these things. Who sells these things (new or used)? Most
"vdieo dealers" only seem to sell consumer level stuff. Does one have
to go directly to Panasonic or Sony?

According to Newtek, the EVO9700 cannot be used for single frame
recording off of the toaster. AVID magazine has got a lot of info on that
sort of stuff. For used equip, you can check the back of "POST" magazine.
Its a proffessional Mag, you're not likely to find it in the local
newstand. If you need, I can get you some addresses & Phone nos. of used
equip. dealers. These people deal in high end equip., and some "Prosumer."
For consumer equip. I would check the classifieds of area newspapers. (i.e.
I live in Tampa and I check the St. Pete Times, Orlandoo Sentinal etc.)
Good used prof. equip. at good prices is hard to find. You've got to dig a
little to get a good deal..

Howcum? What's the problems with the EVO9700. Do you mean that AVID has
review of single frame recorders? I get AVID and haven't seen any.

On the Sony hi-8mm front you might look at the EV0-9650 and new EVO-9850.
THe latter is a very new machine (not shipping yet) but it is a full edit
deck with all the bells and whistles. I got some info from Jim Rosemary, a
Sony Corporate Account rep, who hangs out in the MultiMedia forum.
