Jeeeeeez!!!! All this AAPRO bashing is getting out of hand! I've been using the product since it's release (and AA before that) for FULL SCALE 2D animations and I think it's FANTASTIC! The tutorials and documentation are excellent. Anyone who can use a mouse and read english should be producing simple animations in no time. Of course it has a few drawbacks (you can't please all the people all the time!) but overall, this is an incredibly rich product with excellent capabilities. Rather than complaining so much, why not use this forum for constructive criticism and suggestions (instead of whining), or write ADESK directly with product suggestions. Whew… My two cents David Ellman – DAVID Corporation Incidentally, this is not aimed at any one specific person (even though it's addressed that way.)

The purpose of a forum is discussion, not product worship. I understood that it could be used to communicate with ADESK and other users, and to get help. ALi

I, also am using AA for swell animations. I am composing an ongoing document of suggestions to which I'm adding a couple of times a week. I haven't sent it, yet, for that reason. I don't think it hurts, tho', to mention some of these things here. I'm not on top of the product enuff to offer many suggestions to end users, many of whom are long-standing professionals in the area, but have posted queries of my own, ASKING for suggestions on how to get certain effects. So far, nothing has come back………… In my own little-needed defense, David Taffet

No one ever said that it wasn't a powerful product. Just that it was a little difficult to use, and that it doesn't necessarily have to be that way! A slightly different user interface would allow many more people to create awesome animations…

Doug, Slightly different interface? How about *totally* different interface, like Windows. Mike

My opinion? Windows sucks. But then, what do *I* know… Windows is here to stay, and so is slow animation for a while…

Hi David, From your message here you look like you're very knowledgable about Ani Pro. I'm shopping for a PC based animation package that I can incorporate ("import") into a larger multimedia authoring package like Authorware Pro for Windows or ICON Author. 2 big requirements are: 1-animations of fairly detailed technical graphics (like blueprints) 2-I also need sound cababilities. If you're familiar with a Mac product called MacroMind Director, then you have a sense of the sophistication I need. Can you tell me if AniPro is what I should be looking at or if there is something else (PC/Windows based) out there. Thanks, John

Another two cents worth here. I totally agree this is a fantastic product. I bought my first computer so I could use the original animator. Put in the time and it will work wonders for you. will tait
