HELP! I am just beginning to play with some animation and run up against a wall to start with. Using MakeAnim (latest version in the libs here) and lo res HAM frames. the first frame comes out find but every frame after the first is garbled real bad, with what looks like black and white snow. All the frames load into dpaint fine but makeanim screws them up. Any hints or ideas what I am doing wrong?

Peter, I do not think that is it..I have 4 megs, 1 chip, 2 16 bit fas and 1 32 bit fast, this has happened on 3 different anims I have been working with, all have been 15-20 frames lo res ham. I finally got he horsepower to play wih this kinda stuff (GVP 030) and want to see if it is worth sinking some money into for software but I can't even get started! Thanx for your prompt reply. ..Steve

Very Bizarre Must be Large Delta differences I guess I sometimes have that problem as well when making Anims that are VERY different from one frame to the next.Try getting a newer version of Makeanim tho to tell the truth I usually use Animbuild and have had little trouble and I only have a measly 512k of Chip Ram(8.5 k of Fastram)

Peter, Again thanx for the quick reply. Is animbuild here in the libs? I seem to remember mention of a GUI type of animation maker, but can't rember the name of it… I have catologed the entire animation library and don't see any references to anything other than makeanim for making animations. I am starting o get real interested in this but can' ge off of ground zero 🙁 . Thanx ..Steve Whap!ping from beautiful coastal South Carolina

steve, I think you'll find animbuild in lib 12 of amigaarts, keyword "animbuild", its a collection of four utilities for working with anims. It's a very convienient program to use, more of a "point and click" type of application, makes generating file lists easy. -david

David, I found it right after I posted my last note to you, have been harried for time the last few days and hacve not had a chance to play with but briefly and run ito a snag with it too (it is rendering more than one usable frame though) so I guess I got to read the docs. Again thanx for taking the time to respond….CI$ is a great place to meet people just glad for whap!. Thanx again, ..Steve Whap!ping from beautiful coastal South Carolina
