Martin, Do you know just which messages are missing from the board ??? The TM's have the power to move, rename or delete messages, but the ONLY messages that are ever deleted from the board are duplicates. (I'm assuming you are not talking about these though.) We don't even delete the obviously profane or the bombing runs, but move them into a closed section. You seem to be a knowlegable user here (having figured out how to use CIM off-line), but do you know about the HMN (high message number) that CIS tracks for you ??? If you have a log of the messages that are lost (?) or even those messages that you replied to, but are missing those replies, I'll try to track this down for you. Or if you are a glutton for punishment <grin>, try setting your Option-High Message Number to 0, and rescanning the board. Just be prepared to be looking at 1000 messages though.

Martin, More than likely you are confused because CompuServe keeps track of the highest numbered message you read, and will not show you older messages (keeps you from reading stuff over and over, and having to pay for it) unless you set back the "age" of the messages you want it to display. You would not be the first user to be confused by this feature. Your messages are still there, but you will not see them unless you specifically tell CIM to have CIS show you older messages. Set the message age to ALL and you should be able to see every message on the forum, which will include a LOT of messages that you have already read.
