I have a GVP hardcard, purchased about 3 years ago, in my A2000. Lately,
when I first try to boot up, I get an error message, saying the disk has a
read error. When I power down and turn the computer back on, it boots
properly. Anyone have any idea what I can do for this?

Nick,
I presume you're having the problem during warm boot, but not
during cold boot. My first *guess* would be simply a loose connection in
the SCSI bus.
Don
Actually, the problem does occur during cold boot-the first time I
turn it on during the day. Now sometimes the bootup stalls during my
startupsequence where the line is: "SYS:gvpscripts/tstGVPscsi ?"
with the error message: "tstGVPscsi is not an object module"
I power down and then back up after 30 seconds and it boots normally.
I have used QuarterBack tools to check for disk errors and have found
none.
I will check to see that everything is connected firmly.
