What gives? I posted a message last night asking for help with a problem I was experiencing, having just upgraded my Amiga 2000 to WB 2.0, and it has been wiped. Why?

The message you posted is 22129. It is publicly viewable. You'd probably get better responce if you'd posted it in the Communications or Using 2.0 section of AmigaUser Forum.

Thanks, Steve, but I still do not quite understand why the message is no longer displayed in the SELECT MESSAGES menu. Is there some protocol I am unaware of? Michael.

Whenever you read messages, then leave the forum, your high message pointer is set to the last message you've read. The next time you enter the forum you see messages from that point on. I'm not familiar with how to get to older messages from the menu (I haven't used menu mode in about 10 years), I'm sure someone else will jump in with how to do that. In command mode, you can find any message — using yours as an example, by typing RS;F;BUCKLAND-SMITH;0 — which, translated to english means "read search all messages from Buckland-Smith starting with message number 0" — which is exactly what I did to find your original message.
