Tell him that the price is the problem… dealers can make more selling adobe photoshop to a mac customer than selling them an amiga 600hd and a ream of SW. They can display amigas just to sell expensive systems against them.

Arnie: Problem is, as far as I know, this dealer sells Amigas and only Amigas. Amazing that they stay in business without actually 'selling' their product. Their clientele must KNOW what they want before they get there! <g> — Dave

Maybe that dealer has been spoiled by Amiga-savvy people who come in and help themselves most of the time. I know dealers like that. The customers don't WANT to be bothered, and usually know more than the sales staff, which uses the breather to do other things. Not good for a novice, of course.

Ron: That is very possible. The dealer is located in close proximity to several fine universities and high-tech industries. These people know what they want BEFORE they come in. Also, there may be a large and loyal Amiga user base in the greater Boston area, and with no other dealers around that I know of, north of Hartford, he could very well "serve" an area encompassing the best part of two states. Of course, that doesn't say much about New England… — Dave
