#A2091 AutoBoot Problem

I have an Amiga 2000HD and have just installed 2 meg of menory on my A2091
board. My Computer now won't autoboot off of my hard drive. It will boot off
of a disk but I want to boot off of the HD again. When I boot off of a disk
and run a memory test, the memory checks out as being OK. When I run a SYSINFO
program, it finds the Memory also. I've set jumper #1 to 2 meg and jumper #2
is in AutoBoot. I've tryed changing jumper #5, option 2 for a longer wait
period also. I haven't messed with jumper #5, option 1 – LUN setting. I have
even tryed switching Jumper #2 to non-autoboot, which forces me to boot from
disk.
When it attempts to boot from the HD, the copywright comes up then All rights..
then Version 1.3. After that the screen freaks out, the power light starts
flashing and then I get a guru #00000004.00208970
Does anyone have any ideas? Do I need to change something in my Startup file?
Is there some jumper on the mother board that I need to change?

What version ROMs does your A2091 carry? If they're older, you may need to
upgrade. I think the latest is 6.6. Maybe there's a 7.x by now. You
shouldn't need to lengthen the boot up wait period, unless you have a slow
drive. Most A2091s come with fast Quantums.
I have CMOS 256×4 Drams 70ms. Originally I bought a SupraRam board with
2megs, but I had the same problem. Supra couldn't help me so I returned the
board and decided to just buy the chips first.
Are these chips (70ms) too slow?
No, Alan, I didn't mean the RAM on the A2091, I meant the ROM controller
chip(s). I can't check without opening my Amiga, but there are either 1 or
2 such chips, sort of square, with CBM markings on them. Mine were version
6.6. As for your RAM, I think 70ns chips sound more than adequate. Check
on the card for the controller chip and see if you have 6.6 or newer. If
not, call a local Amiga dealer or call Safe Harbor or Grapevine Group and
you can order an updated ROM for about 30 bucks. Older ROMs can cause
problems.
