Hi, I just got my new 1200 (thanks be to UPS). I want to know one thing, is it possible to get a non-interlaced 800×600 display? If not, just _how_ noticable is the flicker? Thanks, Brian // Brian — Cruising on AutoPilot….. \X/

Brian, There is currently no monitor driver for an 800×600 non-interlaced display. Whether the hardware is capable of such a display is another matter. Even if it is, you'll need a monitor capable of scanning at a 48 kHz (or so) horizontal scan rate (assuming a 72 Hz vertical rate) to see it. Super72 800×600 doesn't flicker too much…it's certainly less objectionable than interlaced 640×400. -Dave (via AutoPilot)

Nope, you can't get 800×600 non interlaced (yet), but it's not as noticable as NTSC flicker… Bob Comer
