#B&P2.0 Bug?

I received my Bars & Pipes 2.0 Upgrade today. The UPS delivery man
explained that it was supposed to have been delivered yesterday but their
planes got snowed in in Nashville. I am delighted to receive 2.0 and look
forward to a busy weekend of learning. I have discovered one problem with
2.0. I am using Triple Play Plus with Triple Play 1 Midi out going to my
Kurzweil K-2000 and Triple Play 2 going to my Sound Canvas. I am not able
to load the Triple Play Plus Midi 1 out tool into B&P 2.0. TPP1 Midi Out
loaded fine in B&P 1.0e. In 2.0, TPP2 and TPP3 install fine, but not
TPP1. I have simply reconnected my Kurzweil to TPP3 Midi out, but I
thought you would like to know about this apparent bug. Also, my version
2.0 of B&P contains a different serial no. than my version of B&P1.0e, but
no registration card was packaged with the 2.0 upgrade. Do we need to
register the upgrade for tech support? Thanks for sending 2.0 by
overnight air.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm… Let me check that out. I have a TPP here in our studio.
I'll be looking forward to your response on the failure of TPP1 tool to
leoad into B&P 2.0. I have tried everything I can think of to get TPP1 to
load without success. I even tried loading the TPP1 tool from Bars &
Pipes 1.0e, but no luck. Again TPP2 and TPP3 load fine. I am in the
process of changing a bunch of music sequenced under B&P 1.0e over to
utilize TPP3 since I can get that to load and work fine.

Tom,
I had the same problem with it… i got it to use it correctly by getting rid
of the regular midi out tool in my support/tools file and putting the one for
tpp+ in there instead. It seems to work now, except it does have problems
sending to it sometimes, which i can force it to do via the tpp+ accessory…

Thanks for your help. Removing the regular midi out tool did the trick
and TPP1 then loaded nicely.

I talked with Todor about your problem. He indicated that TPP1 will not work
if you have the "regular" MIDI In loaded.
Do you have this Tool loaded?

Thanks very much for the prmopt response. B&P 2.0's default set of tools
includes the regular midi out tool. As soon as I removed the regular midi
out tool from the toolbox, I was able to load in TPP1 Midi Out. I haven't
tried it to make sure it works, but I feel certain it does, since prior to
removing the regular midi out tool, I couldn't even load TPP1 midi out.
Again thanks for the help! Really like the new documentation with 2.0,
especially the chapter on music tools …and I'm just getting started in
discovering all the many great new features of 2.0. Looks like you folks
have produced a real winner.
