Any information regarding 3D Studio users group(s) in San Francisco/Bay Area?

Yes! Here is some information about a 3D Studio User Group: 3981 Lonesome Pine Road Redwood City, CA 94061 (don't know phone number) They'll be meeting April 17, Jun 12, Aug 14, Oct 9, Dec 11. Last few meetings have been at Autodesk in Sausalito. Great fun! Last time there were about 200 folks there.

Dan – Milwaukee isn't *quite* the Chicago area, but there is a user group up here that meets around the 3rd Thursday of the month. I'll give more details, if you're interested. David Taffet

Well, we usually met at Roger Danielson's house in Waukesha, about 30 minutes west of Milwaukee. We are trying to build some momentum and direction, which you could, perhaps help in. It's great to bump elbows with other users, look at how swell IPAS routines are and stuff, but more is needed. Call Roger D. at (414) 547-7191, he's our main instigator, just now, or me at (414) 963-9507. On the 18th we're going to meet at Taylor Music and Video, on Bluemound Rd. (not as far out as RD's place), to look at Video Toaster stuff. It will be a sales presentation, but there will be a lot of rabid 3DS owners there, so blood may flow <G>. DT

Just jumping in here to let you know that there _is_ a Chicago-area 3D Studio user group. It's hosted by CADStation located at 1111 E. Touhy Ave. (Suite 436) in Des Plaines. The next neeting is coming up at the end of March. Give them a call at (708) 803-2030 if you're interested. Greg

Nik: I left a message a few months back asking about a 3DS Users Group in Central Florida (Orlando). There's one guy down in Boca Raton – about 2 1/2 hours from here – but I haven't heard of anyone else. I was at one of the meetings at Autodesk and I was quite impressed. Are there any audio tapes or papers available from the 3DS Users Group meetings you guys have up there? Also, what's going on up in New York?
