I've seen a pre-beta, and I was very impressed. The content is very strong,
the access engine is powerful and sophisticated, including a "helper" mode that
asks questions specific to the topic (!). Lots of multimedia, of course, but
it's the quality and quantity of the content that sells me. For example, the
section on "cat" not only lists a zillion cat breeds; there are pictures of
most of them!!! Just the kind of thoroughness and detail that we've needed in
a CDROM encyclopedia.
Of course, it's not shipping yet. <g>

Thanks for your reply on Encarta, I have Bookshelf for Win. and was
very impressed with the few (30) narrated animations. And hope
the high quality continues.
