Anyone have any experience with the pro audio 16 with a GATEWAY 2000? I"ve been told that there are some glitches in the interface between board and computer. Something about the gateway being propriety based?? This board looks like a winner, but hate to get into compatability problems. thanks for any response…

I've put MV Fusion 16s in a Gateway 486SX-25 mini and a Gateway 486DX-66 tower with no trouble. You may also want to check out the MediaVision section in the MULTIVENDOR forum. Peter

Randy…Check into the PCVENC forum, where Gateway has a section. There have been some threads there about the PAS 16 but I didn't follow them. Just FYI, Gateway uses Micronics motherboards and Phoenix BIOS. I don't think there is anything proprietary there. Be seeing you. -Larry

Larry, I got that info from a company out of CA. which I was pricing systems from. He said they had some problems with someone that had just purchased a texel cd drive and the pas 16. Can't think of the company right now. thanks for the info

I have one, it works fine. Takes a while to get all the IRQ's and DMA's right though. The Multivendor forum has a mediavision section with lots of help files and knowledgeable folks. I would ask again over there. Best Regards, John
