#CD ROM wanabe

Thanks for the INFO! My Amiga is only a 500 with a meg RAM. I had a hard
drive for it but it died. I have C compilers for both systems (Borland for PC,
Lattice for Amiga) and want to putz with some of my own development, but first
I have to learn C! I didn't even think to look on CompuServe for Amiga! I
live in Minnesota and when you mention Amiga, they think you are talking about
aa female friend who is mexican or spanish!

Let me invite you to visit our four Amiga Forums – AmigaTech (mostly for
programming), AmigaUser (for hardware, applications, and general stuff),
AmigaArts (for music, art, multimedia, and the like), and AmigaVendor (for
vendor support of various products.) I'm an assistant sysop over there,
so I'm there a LOT.
If you C compiler is from Lattice, you are considerably out of date.
Lattice, as you may know, was a division of SAS Corporation, and the
compiler was mostly written by SAS. At least a couple of revisions back,
SAS took over the compiler completely and it is now sold as SAS-C. The
latest version is 6.x (forget which.) They have made really significant
improvements to the compiler in the past couple of years.
Anyway, come on over. We're friendly.

Actually it was my brother who introduced me to the Amiga. He bought a 500 for
my mother. Later her bought her a 2000? (right model?) and I got the 500. I
haven't been able to aford to keep up with the software so for the most part my
Amiga sits idle. I'm sure I should use it more than I do but there isn't much
need of Amiga support around this town in Ohio either.
Good luck with your development ideas. When you decide you'd like to put one
of the onto CD-ROM and test your system let me know. I'd be happy to make the
CD-R for you.
