#PS printing

Does anyone have a problem printing a normal ASCII file to Postscript
preferences printer. I have DOS 2.1 and the first page prints fine, just
as set up in preferences but the second page always just prints 3 or 4
lines and then does a Form Feed and begins printing normally on the 3rd
page. Also I usually get one completely blank page printed as a final
page.
This chronology occurs for several different ASCII files which I get off
of compuserve. STock quotes, capture files etc. I get the same results
whether printing from Traswrite, Diskmaster2 or just from a command line..

I print ascii file to the postscript prefs plenty of times. Usually it is
no problem. Once in a while it has gone nuts and printed a bunch of
garbage but I assumed it was my fault.
Your problem might be that the ascii file has form feed characters in it.
Strip them out before printing. Let's say that the form feed character is
after 66 lines. Your Postscript printer prefs are set to 60 lines. 60
lines print, second page starts, 5 lines print, form feed is encountered,
bzzt (a page spits out), next page begins. I have made this same error. I
am using a HPLJ4M.

No, just the opposite. ASCII files will print fine, but graphic files
will not work correctly.
The text->PS problem is most likely caused by one of several bugs in the
WB PS driver. The latest version I have still doesn't work and it's pretty
easy to see what is going wrong. Though, I reported these problems to
Commo since several months (years?) without luck. Trash it!
