#Opus and Archiving
8 messages in this thread
I need some help in setting up DirectoryOpus 4 for doing archiving of
files. Could somebody tell me the settings or upload a simple config
showing the proper way?
Michael,
I have a button set up the following way to archive files:
AmigaDOS DH0:C2/LHA a {d}{RsEnter archive name:}{O}
And I have the following flags set:
CD source
Do all files
Output window
Rescan destination
This will archive the selected files in the current window and the
resulting archive will be in the other window.
Just substitute your own path and archiver for "DH0:C2/LHA"

Dennis,
Thanks for the button settings. Your info was just what I needed to
get going. Everthing is working fine now!
Dennis-
I copied this script into Opus and the first file in the list not archived
and the LHA file is always called .Lha regardless of what you type into
the requester.
Can you take a peek and double check the script?

Paul,
What I posted is the way I have it set up. I hadn't tried to create any
archives from multiple files so I just tested that too and it worked fine.
It also seems to have worked for Michael. Did you possibly substitue a 0
for the O at the end or change one of the letters from an upper case to
lower or vice-versa? When I was trying to get it set up here I did have
one configuration that always named the archive "lha" and left it in the
current directory but I don't remember what it was (I was doing this
sometime around 2:00 am).

The default configuration is already set up to archive files using Arc, Zoo and
Lha. These functions are accessable from the Function pull-down menu. If you
want to examine the configuration of these functions you can from the Menus
section in the configuration program.

Jon,
Thanks for the info on the default archive. I was able to get the
proper settings with help from another member here. I'm a happy camper
again!
