Video Titler
5 messages in this thread
Hi,
I need some feedback on the various titling programs available. Currently
I am looking at Broadcast Titler and Pro Video Post. Can anyone tell me
what they would recommend as the ultimate titler program for the Amiga?
Thanks, David

If you already have Dpaint I'd suggest using that as a Titler
My vote is — both. Each program has features not found in the other.
ProVideoPOST is worth it just for the DVE effects.
But I find myself using BTII for most day-to-day applications.
Kinda depends on what your application is, I guess…

It's important to first define your needs in titling.
Are you looking for titles generated and displayed "on-the-fly" or are you
going to be generating "canned" titles to be used in post?
Are you limiting yourself to software-only programs or considering
combination hardware/software solutions.
Is resolution important? Can you live with 70ns or do you need 35ns?
What machine will you be installing the titler package on? Speed, Ram, HD,
etc?
Important questions, as there are many options available, for many
different niches.

And my recomendation is the same. BTII and Pro Video Post. If you're on a
lower budget. DPaint IV and TV*Text Professional are nice little packages.
If memory serves me correct, with TV*Text Pro you get the first 3 zuma
fonts included.
