I hope the addressee is indeed Trantor Systems. My T13BSCSI.ADD driver is
dated 09-15-1992, and I'm having trouble getting it to run music through the
IBM CDROM Player Multimedia PM Program. The card is driving a CDROM, Inc.
External Unit, which, I believe is partial to the Panasonic CDROM Command Set.
I does work if you press retry often enough, but I would like to be using
something less klugey.

Support for CD-ROM functions, like audio, is provided by the IBM driver and
filter files.
Can you provide some indication of just what your problem is? To support any
audio functions you do need to be using the new OS2CDROM.DMD file from IBM.
The older CDROM.SYS will not support audio on non-Toshiba drives.

I am running the August, 1992 IBM PDK CD-ROM software. The multimedia
extensions include the CD-ROM play program. I am using OS2CDROM.DMD with
T13BSCSI.ADD (without "/t", since I want to hear audio.) No CDROM.SYS or
CDROM_G.SYS are used when I want audio.
The symptoms are when I have an Audio CD in the CD-ROM, and start the IBM
program, there is a long pause, followed by a message saying there is no media
present. If I hit "Try Again" several times, it will subsequently recognize
that there is a CD there, and I can play it, pause it, etc.
Again, this a CD-ROM, Inc. External Unit that, according to their Tech Support,
uses the PANASONIC command set.
