texel cd rom drives
2 messages in this thread
I just purchased the Corel SCSI package that came with a Corel LS2000.
I decided to use an existing adaptec 1542 with the associated adaptec
device drivers (aspi). When connected to A new external TEXEL DM-5024
drive, and try to run any of the CDAUDIO stuff, the programs all respond with
an error. It says that it can't locate the audio head's position. But if I
replace the TEXEL drive with one of my other drives (TOSHIBA xm2100a) the audio
stuff seems to work just fine. Also alot of the test and demo programs complain
that there is No COREL driver loaded when it is infact loaded. That is problem
#1
The second problem is when I try to run a Peer to Peer LAN, when I load
MSCDEX, it says that no more space is avaliable to allocate the drive letter.
The LAN is the Little Big Lan and it may have some way of limiting the number
of drive letters allocated. Any Ideas?
The version of Corel SCSI that I have is 1.01F. What else must I do to get the
TEXEL drive to do audio?
Sandy…
The latest version of CorelSCSI! (1.1) now supports the Texel 3024 and 5024
drives… (version 1.01f only claimed to support the 3020 and 5020… a new
revision was necessary to support the newer drives…). You can get this
upgrade free of charge by contacting our Customer Service people, either in the
Corel forum (GO COREL) in their message area, or by dialing (from the U.S.)
1-800-836-7274 (otherwise dial 1-613-728-8200). Hope this helps!
