Does anyone know of current federal budget and federal asset information on
CD-ROM?

If you get an answer to this one, I'm also interested to see if I can get a
copy of the new "Vision for Change in America" as the federal budget proposal
is euphemistically titled.

Good thing I'm not a Republican, or I could come up with some endlessly clever
snipes about someone with your name looking for the budget.
I haven't heard of such a product, and because of the constantly-changing
nature of the document in negotiation, I wouldn't be surprised to find that it
is not planned for disc. I'll keep my eyes open, Meanwhile, you might try
calling a) your congressman and b) the Superintendent of Documents at the Gov
Printing Office (or a local Federal Bookstore if there is one in your town).

I am considering producing just what you are asking about. My company,
Data Tools and Services does electronic publishing and I have taken steps to
put the Budget on CD ROM. I would put it in a text retreival format so that
you could simply type in a word or phrase and if there were any matchs it would
pop up in front of you. I must say that I am considering a CD ROM and disk
version. As soon I get more details I will contact you and the whole world.
