Load MSCDEX hi? How?

Yes, I've run into the same problem where my configuration is too complex for the auto-optimizer for the memory manager to hack it. (In my case it's 386MAX, but the principle is the same). I've taken to manually optimizing things as a matter of course. After about five years of using 386MAX, it's become second nature. <grin> The real gotcha was that 386LOAD was mis-measuring the load requirements of MSCDEX in version 6.01 of 386MAX. Once I solved that with a patch, everything else slid right into place. Now I'm having problems with my CD-ROM-over-the-LAN device driver, but that's a whole 'nother story!! <frown> –Tim Farley

I have 386max 6.01. Are you saying that if I download a patch from CIS (making it 6.02?) then Maximize will be able to figure out how to load MSCDEX high? That would be helpful. Thanks. — Samuel
