Well I got the Video for Windows clips to run without frames skipped and no
jerkiness or breaks, but I had to get a 486/66 and a quadruple speed drive to
do it. So you're right. Intel's PCI bus architecture has a special section
devoted to multimedia devices and maybe this will allow a higher production
quality to be used. At best, what we have right now is a doable compromise.

Congratulations Paul!! Your the first person that I have heard of that was
not dropping frames. That upgrade is definitely out my league as this is only
a pastime for me.

Well unless you have an immediate need for multimedia, wait until the prices
drop. My old system, while not retired, just couldn't do what I need to do, and
I regret having to spend more to do it.
