#AAPLAY DLL Problems
5 messages in this thread
Steve, so far as I know, there is no "limited version" of the animation player.
There has been an update, so that there is a "new" version (ver 1.10), but
that's as close as we can get. (However, I will download this file you
mentioned and see what's in it.) What version of the DLL are you using? It
should have a data stamp of Dec 92 on it if it is the latest version, and you
definitely should not use the older one.
As for receiving mouse messages while the player is busy with the full screen,
I will look into this and get back to you as soon I have some information.
Do you know any reason why the player will not perform the aaGetFile with the
AA_GETFILE_SOUND flag set??? I suspect the reference to the limited version is
a misprint or other problem. It just seems funny that it coincides with my
problem calling the aaGetFile function Thanks for any help you can give me on
this….Steve
Since our player (AAWIN.EXE) uses the same DLL (AAPLAY.DLL) that you are (I
assume) using, this seems improbable, on the surface of it, anyway. I will
check it out and see if I can make the aaGetFile() work with the
AA_GETFILE_SOUND flag set and let you know what happens (as soon as my other
machine is done rendering… <g>).
BTW, I have been unable to locate the file you mentioned: AAPLDEV.ZIP (or even
APPDEV.ZIP, trying for a spelling mistake). Can you give me the name of that
file and the DL you found it in, please?
I'm sorry, the correct file name is AAPLDEV.DOC not AAPLDEV.ZIP and can be
foundin the AAWIN.ZIP file that contains the latest version of the player. I
probably gave you the wrong file name…sorry bout that! Thanks for your
help… Steve
Thanks. I take a look at AAWIN.ZIP.
