James – I hadn't heard that particular rumor. I can try to verify it for you. Can you tell me where you heard it ?

You Bet..Jeffrey… That particular Rumor was passed on to me by Greg at Master Blue Print in Madison Wisconsin. You've got to ask him where that came from… However he also couldn't remember that I passed on over $9000.00 Worth of 3D Studio Business to him prior to my becoming authorized so I'm not sure if he's really that busy or just unappreciative. I'd sure as H..l remember someone who brought $9,000.00 worth of business through my door. Thanks for the reply, I've been rather busy latley on a couple of projects so I haven't been on compuserve since you posted this message. Later……Murph.

Thanks, James. As I said I hadn't heard the rumor, and I've since asked several of the MM staff here and they haven't either. I'll see if I can get more solid information.

Thanks Jeff, I'd hate to think That I was going to spend a great deal of effort, time, not to mention money educating potential clients just to have the product opened up to a bunch of "Sales-Teams" With commision only attitudes. Not that AutoCAD Dealers aren't a Wonderful bunch of Human Beings, Lord knows, I used to be one for four years, Its just that I believe everyone should have a SPECIALTY and not try to be all things to all people. This is definatly a problem on the AutoCAD side of things and I would hate to see the water so muddied by opening up the product to the AutoCAD People. I wouldn't even want to be authorized to sell AutoCAD as a compensation although I could probably do a better job than certain dealers I've had the misfortune to run in to through my support side of the business. There are a lot of Un-Official Orphans on the AutoCAD Side of the business. Shall we call them " Under-Supported." Part of my income is derived from many of these people. I also teach AutoCAD Classes utilizing the MicroCAD Institutes Training Materials and Clients can't get over the quality of the Class. When it's actually Professionally organized and presented. So WHY would I want to SELL it. Enough about me. Let me know about the Rumor. I also would like to know, "on the Dealer Channel of Course" About a Veeeery New Product a pal of mine almost mentioned. He's under Non-Disclosure to AutoDesk So he stopped short of actually telling me what it was. I reeeeally hate it when he does that. SOOOOOOO WHATS NEW! James M. Murphy
