If you're interested in VR, live in the Chicago area, and want to meet other
interested in VR, send e-mail to Nina Adams 71052,1373. We meet the second
Thursday of each month. (Except in May we'll meet on Tues May 11 since we'll
be doing a video phone hook up with the LA VR Sig.)
Admission is $2.00 plus a piece of info about VR :). To just be on the mailing
list, you'll need to send $5.00 for about 6 months.

The primary VR hangout on CIS is over in GraphDev. We have two sections there.
There is also a file called WHATVR.ZIP in lib 10 there that gives a list of
geographic and electronic VR interest groups around the world. (as well as
giving an intro to VR and a list of good VR books)

I know where you hang out Jerry. What I was looking for was the Chicago VR Sig.

The Chicago VR Sig (usually) meets the second Thursday of the month. (See
separate message.) We're still very informal — no newsletter, no officers, no
dues.
We started meeting in November. The mailing list has grown to over 60 people
so I've had to start charging people $5.00 to get notices.
I've been following VR for about 2 1/2 years. I was a panel moderator at the
San Jose Conference last year and spoke at the NY conference last week.
If you're in the Chicago area, try to attend one of our meetings. If you want
to find out more about the "general" VR field, stop by section 10 and 11 of
GRAPHDEV.
