And here I got through most of Monday so well too!
I live in Columbus OH and, as you might imagine, news from CompuServe is a big
deal here. When they announced the WHITEHOUSE forum, local tv focused on a pc
screen to show what it was about, and there was a message to you, that started
with "Are the MAN!?" or something to that effect. So, FWIW, you've been
immortalized in 3 seconds of video in Columbus OH ("All in all, I'd rather be
here than Philadelphia").

Thanks for the story about the news account, Rich! I have been a sysop on MENSA
since it started, but since logging onto WHITEHOUSE, where people don't know
me, I have gotten a steady trickle of messages from people making the name
confusion. To friends I am known as Al, but have always used 'Alan' on CIS
specifically to avoid confusion.

Glad you checked in again! FYI, I saw a brief note in the Wall St Jrnl in the
last couple of days that Clinton's economic plan is available on diskette,
apparently from the Commerce Dept. That's all I know, but it may be enough to
track it down.

FYI, You can order Clinton's plan on disk, I think from the Commerce
department. The disk has text files which list the various proposals, and
projected costs/savings. I think it's $12 for first class mail. Also, the disk
comes with information on Federal bulletin board services and a CD-ROM economic
data service from the Feds. Kurt P.S. I've got the info around here somewhere,
so if I dig it up, I'll pass the details along.
