#March — So little AVI

Just got my March issue, and was disappointed by how few AVI examples there
were (none outside of Ron's MM Madness). I took the tip about configuring
mplayer, and was quite pleased with the 2X AVI.
I noticed that the Nerd is not in the March issue. I didn't like the fact that
he inserted politics in Nautilus, but I hope it didn't get him fired. (Hey —
it seems to me that Ron, in his own way, is inserting *his* politics by tossing
in AVIs of Clinton speaches.) (This is NOT an attack on Ron. I love the stuff
he does. His book is what got me turned on to Multimedia and Nautilus in
particular.)
Do a DIR *.AVI /S on the disc. There are quite a few .AVI files in one of the
demo folders that aren't accessible from the ToolBook menu.

Oh yeah, I forgot that there are bunches of .AVI files in the PC Karaoke demo.
(Of course, how many and which ones you see depends on the date and time of day
<hint, hint>)

I didn't realize how little AVI we had on the March disc until I looked back at
it. We'll definately have some on the next disc. One from Microsoft and maybe
even one from The Nerd (answer your second question?)
