Is there any place a person can find critical reviews of CD-ROM titles?
I'm looking for the kind of comparative reviews one finds in PC Magazine for
big-ticket software packages … the type of reviews that help you decide which
among several competing software titles is the best one to buy.
From time to time, I've found reviews in the magazines (e.g., the 12/22/92
issue of PC Magazine,) but the scope has been limited.

there is a place for critical reviews of CDROMs. It's maintained by Jan
Schwenk, who has a presence here in this Forum (his ppn is 70053,1702). He also
maintains a bbs where … probably hundreds… of reviews are stored in ASCII
format. I'm one of his reviewers (albeit one behind schedule). Here's his bbs
