Like you I have not been able load the Mitsumi driver high either. I have tried
numerous times to load it high using 386MAX and after the maximize process is
done, the computer locks up when the driver tries to load and will not proceed.
I cannot see that I am doing anything wrong.
I have tried to find a later version of the driver and have been unsuccessful.
I will be interested in what you find out. Glad to know that I am not the only
one having the problem.

Go to the Qualitas Forum (GO QUALITAS). Download the Mitsumi drivers from
there. They are a later release than the ones here. They load high fine for
me whereas the originals did not. Good luck!
