Corel Matters

Well, speak and it shall be so. Care package from Corel came today. Wish I
could show THIS to some of the Bombay crowd–then they'd know what a beta
really was. Oy–bet I have to reinstall Windows from scratch when THIS one's
over!

Mine also arived, special messenger overnite.
Have played with it a little and found a couple of strange things. When
I have time to read the manual I'll play with some of the new features.
As for reinstalling Windows it only wrote a couple of files to the main
directory, but hte docs say it writes 4.5 megs of files to the System
directory. I haven't looked yet.
What I did was to copy my \Windows and \System directories to another
drive, change AUTOEXEC.BAT to point there, then install DRAW!. Even tho it
made backups of the WIN.INI and PROGMAN.INI files I don't have to worry. I
just change my .BAT path back to the old directory and it's as if 4.0 never
existed. THis way I can easily continue working and switch back and forth at
will.

Heck, all I did was install it to a different drive and directory. The two
don't seem to conflict and it puts everything in its own named directory.
I have a strict policy that's even more strict with betas: other than
reading the "what we already know is wrong or missing" parts, the absolute LAST
thing I do is read the manual. How can I make it crash and do bizarre things if
I follow instructions?
